Mission of the Art Room
Whether an accomplished artist or a beginner, students are welcomed into the art room and taught the art skills necessary to express their thoughts in a visual manner. Accomplished artists are challenged to push themselves, new artists are encouraged to try new things, and all students are encouraged in a safe environment to enjoy the relaxing and therapeutic nature of art.
The Art website art.telosrtc.com is a portfolio site for the student's artwork and a resource for curriculum, expectations, and the curriculum calendar. It also has an introduction to my vocational history and my philosophy on art in education. In the future, students will also be able to watch informative videos on how-to-use art mediums. Hope you enjoy!
Each quarter the student will create five 1-2 week (8 hours) length art pieces plus one Art History project. Projects will be chosen from the mediums below.
